The largest city in South Africa is Johannesburg, in Gauteng Province. The city was developed in the 19th century during the gold rush era. 4) Hector Pieterson Memorial and Museum

The Hector Pieterson Memorial and Museum was named after the brave 12-year-old boy who was shot by the police during the protest against apartheid in the Soweto Uprising.
